Donors

WHAT IS A DONOR?

Fundraising Report Card considers a donor to be a unique identifier, most commonly a donor or constituent ID number. It is important to note that a donor is represented by the sum of all of their donations in your Fundraising Report Card.

WHAT IS A UNIQUE DONOR ID?

A unique donor ID is a number or string of characters that represents a contact in your database or CRM. Most software stores an ID number for each person in the system.

WHAT HAPPENS IF A DONOR MAKES MULTIPLE DONATIONS?

A donor is the sum of all their donations in a particular year. For example, if a donor makes five gifts of $1,000 they would be considered a $5,000+ donor (sum of their gifts). Donors are the sum of all their donations in any given 12 month period.
