Fundraising Strategies & Nonprofit Tech Carnival
March’s Theme: Data Driven Fundraising
Fundraising Report Card® is excited to be hosting this month’s Fundraising Strategies & Nonprofit Tech Carnival!
We know that nonprofits now, more than ever before, are collecting treasure troves of data from their constituents. Like their for-profit counterparts, nonprofit organizations are trying to harness the power of big data, analytics and data visualization. All with the hope of helping them operate in a surplus, reduce inefficiencies and ultimately further their mission.
But we all know that actually putting those concepts into action is quite difficult.
So, this month, as the chaos from end of year fundraising finally dies down, we want to focus on helping nonprofits get the most insights and actionable next steps from their data.
We’ve put a lot of time, energy and effort into creating “data-driven” content here at Fundraising Report Card®, and we wanted to get other industry leaders involved as well. That’s why we are excited to host this month’s Fundraising Strategies & Nonprofit Tech Carnival. We can’t wait to see what everyone contributes!
What Is The Fundraising Strategies & Nonprofit Tech Carnival?
Each month, the carnival publishes a collection of the best information and advice the community of nonprofit thought-leaders and fundraising experts has to offer.
Even more specifically, the carnival focuses on providing actionable advice for improving fundraising strategies and making the most of the ever-expanding world of nonprofit tech.

March’s Theme: Data Driven Fundraising
It’s 2017, a myriad of software, hardware and other tools exist to make raising more money easier for nonprofits. But we all know that leveraging technology can be tough. For-profit companies live and die by their big data analysis, automated emails and ever growing number of data scientists.
How can nonprofits get in on the fun?
From strategic planning and goal setting to prospect researching and performance evaluation, there are many different areas where data can help nonprofits get more return on their fundraising investment. Yet they all seem so far off, a little out of reach for most organizations.
As a result, this month we want to help nonprofits feel more comfortable with data-driven concepts—and this is where you come in. For this month’s carnival, we’re asking you to submit any resources you have that will provide valuable content to help nonprofits’ do more with their data!
We’re looking for as many high-quality submissions possible: blog posts, ebooks, white papers, heck, even a story about how you shared visual reports with your board members, anything and everything in between is welcome!
Ready To Submit?
If you’re looking to participate in this month’s carnival, all you need to do is write a blog post or create a resource that provides best practices for being data-driven.
